2 important dates in the founding of USEK:
- 1950: The LMO built the main building of what is today USEK (Bldg. A) in which was centralized the teaching of theology, philosophy, letters and canon law. The institution was then a scholasticate.
- 1962: Following the enactment of the law of higher education in Lebanon, the scholasticate became the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik.
