The Quality Assurance Office of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik is responsible for:
I. Implementation of a system of procedures within the University:
- Identification of administrative procedures: the Quality Assurance Office is responsible for identifying the necessary administrative procedures for the quality assurance system and their implementation within the concerned units.
- Documentation and spreading of the quality assurance system: this documentation includes the following documents: USEK Administrative Guide, necessary documents for the proper functioning of the procedures, descriptions of administrative and technical positions.
II. Measuring the performance and the efficiency of the quality of academic and administrative services:
Internal auditing of the functioning of procedures: the Office, in coordination with the Auditing Committee, measures the performance and the efficiency of the procedures in order to demonstrate compliance with determined requirements; these activities of supervision and measurement are carried out consistently through conducting internal auditing at planned intervals.
Teaching evaluation: the Office organizes and monitors the evaluation of teaching which allows receiving the feedback of students (satisfaction, complaints, suggestions, etc.). At the end of each semester, a detailed report on teaching evaluation is submitted to the President and then to the heads of units.
This evaluation of teaching allows defining, for each course, the level of organization of teaching, pedagogical skills, evaluation of learning and the general assessment of the student.
Evaluation of the well-being on campus: the Office is responsible for organizing and monitoring the evaluation of well-being on campus in order to receive the students’ feedback (satisfaction, complaints, suggestions, etc.) concerning the University’s administrative and technical services. This evaluation is carried out twice a year in the main campus as well as the Regional University Centers. A detailed report on the evaluation of the well-being on campus is submitted to the President and then to the heads of units.
Evaluation of the quality of university events: the Office conducts surveys in order to assess the university events.
III. Follow up and Development of the Procedures’ Functioning:
The Office ensures the compliance with statutes, regulations and administrative decisions.
IV. Organization of Regular Trainings:
The Office organizes training sessions, in coordination with the Human Resources Office and the teaching Personnel Office, for the personnel carrying out tasks which affect the quality of teaching and administrative and technical services based on initial and professional training, know-how skills and experience.
The Office prepares training booklets and distributes certificates of attendance and keeps appropriate records of these continuous trainings.
At the end of each training session, the Office conducts a survey in order to assess the training sessions.
N.B.: an annual plan of vocational trainings should be defined by this Office.
