Procedure to follow if you are a new student and already in your second semester:
- Open a social file in the Social Service Office.
- Complete the application form in the SAO.
2. Off-Campus Job OpportunitiesAre you looking for a part-time job?
The SAO centralizes part-time job opportunities addressed to students by corporations/firms, and shares this information with the student community.
3. Absence from Midterm and Final ExamsDid you miss an exam?
In this case, you will be given a failing grade, either a 0 or a R. If this absence is due to well-justified circumstances, you will be able to claim for a resit exam by submitting a petition, accompanied by
valid documents in the 24 hours following the absence.
Justified Absences:
- Death of a member of your immediate family.
- Admittance to hospital, confirmed by an authenticated report.
- Involvement in a road accident. Provide validated report by a certified expert.
4. Appeal Procedures in the Application of Academic RegulationsDo you have a problem? Has an “unfair” decision been applied to you?
Turn solely and directly to the SAO.

5. University Residence for Female StudentsAre you a female student looking for accommodation?
USEK offers you a quality space that is comfortable, spacious and contemporary, in a convivial atmosphere. The USEK Residency is located in the heart of the main campus of Kaslik.

6. InfirmaryAre you sick or feeling unwell?
A qualified nurse will provide you with proper support/first aid on weekdays, without prior appointment and with the utmost discretion. It provides multi-care services for all types of health problems and first aid assistance in case of emergency.
The infirmary is also engaged in social awareness and prevention actions in accordance with the World Days designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) or through public health themes: healthy lifestyle, food, road safety, and blood donation, fight against drugs, alcoholism, Aids, etc.
7. On-Campus Parking CardsDo you wish to leave your car in the USEK parking?
Get your access card from the SAO.
8. Student MagazineDo you wish to become a budding journalist?
You may express yourself on subjects related to University life and other wider themes. This free magazine, which is led by a team of students, constitutes an open forum to USEK students. As it was created to help you express yourself, it aims at exposing your ideas and opinions under the supervision of the SAO.
9. A Multitude of Social and Cultural ActivitiesAre you thirsty for culture and festivities?
The SAO organizes, in partnership with students and NGOs, all year long, diverse events to celebrate national holidays, World days, scientific and ecological events, conferences, speakers and debates; in addition to social and cultural gatherings and entertaining activities.
10. Committee of Young TalentsSince the University represents a space for discovery and communication, the Committee of Young Talents at USEK, (attached to the Student Affairs Office (SAO)), has been established to welcome, support and promote your initiatives, projects of artistic creativity, and help you achieve your first publication.
If you are planning to create and to present a personal or collective work of art (pictorial, photographical, plastic, musical, literary, critical, theatrical, and cinematographic), the Committee of Young Talents can help you find partners to provide you with the required premises or material to achieve your project, organize events wherein your work will be exhibited, etc.
