Visit of Professor Genevieve Lemaire, President of the Department of Biology in the University of Paris XI to the Department of Chemistry-Biochemistry in USEK

As part of the scientific cooperation between the Department of Biology in the University of Paris Sud in Orsay and the Department of Chemistry-Biochemistry in USEK, Professor Lemaire (President of the Department of Biology in the University of Paris XI) was invited by the Department head, Prof. Naim Ouaini, to come to Lebanon in order to share her experience with the Department teachers and transfer her knowledge to the B.Sc. and M.Sc. students in Biochemistry.

Intensive courses in Enzimology (B.Sc.) and Immunology (M.Sc.) were programmed and attended by 60 students.

Discussions concerning the definition of research axes, student education in co-tutorship, the course syllabus, the possibility of training in France for the M.Sc. students, and the possibility of teacher exchanges were held between the invited professor, the teachers and the Department head.
