Exposition: “Sustainable Interventions”

The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized, from March 10 to 15, 2014, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office, an exposition on the environment, entitled “Sustainable Interventions” during which students presented 12 projects.

The projects completed by the students reveal how to deal with the problems faced by the country from a sustainable point of view. The development of the projects and of their concepts was based on a scientific approach linked to sustainable development and on a three-dimensional strategy: the reduction of waste, the re-use of dumped material, and recycling in order to insure balance between economy, society and environment.

The project was conceived according to the following criteria: self-sufficiency prototype, production of sufficient electrical energy, use of recyclable materials, of new materials with low emission of grey energy and of carbon dioxide in addition to long life cycle.

Nine of these projects are competing for the Green Mind Award and the election of the best three projects will take place in two weeks.
