Festival of African Cuisine

The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik has organized on May 10, 2011 the Festival of African Cuisine at the esplanade of building E – USEK Main Campus, in the presence of several ambassadors and consuls of African countries.

The Festival was inaugurated with the opening speech of Rev. Fr. Joseph Wakim, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, in which he underlined the importance of the African continent, mentioning that the purpose of the festival is to provide an opportunity to students to know about African countries and interact with their peoples.

Many traditional African dishes were available to taste; students wore traditional African clothes and African folklore music and dancing created an ambiance of conviviality and interaction.
