Mrs. Khadija El-Kadri, researcher and teacher at the University of Technology in Belfort-Montbeliard (UTBM) paid a visit to the Faculty of Sciences and Computer Engineering to prepare the signature of cooperation and exchange agreement between both institutions.

A first meeting took place in the office of the Academic Secretary, Mr. Pascal Damien in the presence of Mr. Pierre Khorrassandjian, Chairman of the Mathematic Department, Dr. Joumana Farah, Chairman of the Engineering Department; and Dr. Youssef Zaatar, Chairman of Sciences and Technologies Department. On this occasion, the structure, academic regulation, faculty diplomas and the program proposed in the Electronic License Degree   and the Engineering Department were presented.  The cooperation project will concern notably a Master in common in the field of mecatronic.

The meeting was followed by a lunch in the presence of the Dean Professor Naim Ouaini.  The following day, a new meeting took place with Mr. Naim Ouaini in the presence of Mrs. Jean-Noel Baleo cooperation attaché at the French Embassy, Mr. Pascal Damien; Mr. Michel Nakhl, teacher at the Faculty, Mr. Patrice Naudin of the University of Poitiers and Mr. Samir Matar of the University of Bordeaux I.

The meeting dealt with the different cooperations between the Faculty, Universities, and research laboratories in France.

This day of work finished with the visit of the new building of the Faculty and then a lunch at the Restaurant Al-Balad.

This work must be very soon concretized by the signature of an exchange and cooperation agreement between the UTBM and USEK that will be signed in December 2005.
