Conservation & restoration of books, manufacture of an eastern Medieval binding

The Main library organized a training seminar with Dr. François Vinourd for the staff of the Conservation and Restoration Center (CRC) entitled Conservation & restoration of books, manufacture of an eastern Medieval binding.
The objective of this course was to identify the different types of bindings based on three criteria: the analysis of the structure, the knowledge of the materials used and eventually the decors.
