The Symposium on the Teaching of Writing in Lebanon is an annual event providing a platform for teachers of writing (in English) in the different institutions of higher learning in Lebanon to have conversations on the teaching of writing in their contexts. Since its inception this annual inter-institutional gathering has served as a venue for teachers of writing from different universities to share knowledge and experience and to discuss best practices. It aims at developing into a community of practice or even a collaborative research community on the teaching of writing in Lebanon.
