ASRAD’s Annual Vertical Transportation Symposium:
USEK 2020: Academic/Industrial Approach – Introduction to Lifts

The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) is organizing ASRAD’s annual vertical transportation symposium entitled “USEK 2020: Academic/Industrial Approach – Introduction to Lifts”, in order to establish new links between the elevator industry and the academic sector.

This event, hosted by the School of Engineering and the School of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with the Association for Studies, Research and Development (ASRAD), is postponed until further notice

Vertical transportation has experienced extensive improvements both nationally and internationally; yet, its progress is still not reflected on the academic level. In fact, very few universities worldwide have introduced elevator engineering within their curricula, whereas this field remains virtually unexplored in Lebanon. The aim of this symposium is, therefore, to initiate a platform of partnership between the industry and universities.
