On April 26 and 27, 2012, under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Salim Jreissaty, Minister of Labour, The Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), organized its annual Job Fair 2012 under the theme “For a Brighter Future”; with the participation of more than 50 eminent local and international companies.

This two-day event allowed the students to interact with the companies’ representatives, to submit their resumes and inquire about the different services offered. The Job Fair aims to promote collaboration between companies and students, and also represents an important space for exchange and communication between the academic world and various commercial, financial, industrial, advertising and medical companies.

Following the welcome speech by Ms. Madonna Salameh, Head of the Corporate Relations Unit, Prof. Nehme Azoury, Dean of the USEK Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences, pointed out in his speech that “… our main objective does not consist in having a huge number of graduates as much as it consists in helping them to find suitable job opportunities at the end of their academic journey”. He also highlighted the fact that USEK is a pioneer in building a bridge between education and the labour market.

At the end of the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Ziad El Sayegh, representing Minister Jreissaty, praised USEK for such exceptional initiative in organizing the Job Fair for the fourth consecutive year. “If our first concern is to build a competent and honest person, our second concern consists in providing him/her with a decent job opportunity”, Mr. Sayegh stated.
