HEC Montréal

For years, HEC Montréal has maintained a strong partnership with the USEK Business School (UBS) through diverse institutional support activities such as training of trainers programs, teaching material development and collaboration at various conferences and seminars.

This partnership is enriched with two programs to serve our students better:
  • The B.BB.A. 2+2 program where our undergraduate students do their studies at USEK for two years and continue at HEC Montréal, Canada, for the other two years, thus obtaining, two Bachelors of Business Administration, one from each institution;
  • The Graduate Diploma in Management at the Master level combined with the USEK Master Degree in Management and International Affairs, thus granting our students two degrees.

The USEK Business School (UBS), in association with HEC Montréal, established a dual degree at the Bachelor level in the scope of the program B.B.A. 2+2.

Through a solid training in business, this undergraduate program allows selected students to pursue their education and apply to the HEC Montréal B.B.B.A. program as well as develop an international career.

This program permits students to develop their analytical abilities in problem solving and critical thinking by putting the most recent theories in management into practice. It also offers a multitude of opportunities for the students to acquire practical experience in management through case studies, simulations, and internships.

The first two years of studies completed at USEK will focus on the general aspect of managing companies and will revolve around common business courses such as management, accounting, math, marketing, and general knowledge, such as history, languages, and civic engagement.

Whereas the remaining two years spent at HEC Montréal will focus on more advanced, specialized courses chosen from the following: Management, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, and Supply Chain Management.

To be eligible for the program, applicants should fulfill the admission criteria applicable to the undergraduate programs at USEK – (see section Prospective students / Admission) and:
  • Successfully earn 60 credits at USEK;
  • Have a good proficiency level in English and French;
  • Send an admission file to HEC Montréal.

The admission decision is given by the admission committees of both HEC Montréal and USEK.

Graduate Diploma in Management from HEC Montréal
MBA in Management and International Affairs from USEK

The USEK Business School (UBS), in association with HEC Montréal, developed a dual Diploma in Management: Graduate Diploma in Management, equivalent to a D.E.S.S. from HEC Montréal and MBA in Management from USEK. This dual qualification is provided exclusively at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Lebanon, and is unique in the Middle East region.

The 18-24 month program will be given in English by international professors from HEC Montréal, in collaboration with professors from USEK. A dynamic approach combines four days of intensive lessons per course (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), given once a month. The follow-up of the monthly course will be ensured via videoconferencing and e-learning.

To be eligible for the dual program, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:
  • Hold both a Baccalaureate and a Bachelor Degree (USEK and non-USEK students);
  • Have a cumulative GPA equal or greater than 75/100 (if less than 75, work experience can be taken into consideration);
  • Pass the BMAT, which is compulsory (the BMAT is a combination of GMAT and TAGE MAGE exams);
  • Have a minimum of 79 on the TOEFL-IBT electronic version or to be in Band 6 on the IELTS if candidates have finished their studies in a language other than English;
  • Pass the oral interviews that will be conducted by HEC Montréal and USEK members.
