Mr. Mazen Haidar

Mazen Haidar is a conservation architect who graduated from the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. As a practicing architect, he was involved in various conservation projects in Lebanon and has taught in several academic institutions, such as the Lebanese American University (LAU), the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Lebanon (ALBA), ENSA Paris La Villette, and ENSA Paris Belleville in France. His different publications focus on Lebanon’s XXth century heritage.

In 2018, he started working on his ongoing PhD project at Paris 1 – LaSorbonne, which deals with the history of residential buildings in Beirut and appropriation of architecture practices from the “Modern Movement”.
