The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized a roundtable entitled: “Coexistence in Lebanon and in Canada: What Does the Future Hold for Democratic Citizenship?”.

This event, in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada in Lebanon, took place on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in Room HS315.

The objective of this roundtable was to highlight the convergent values that underpin coexistence of plural societies (multi-communal, multi-linguistic, etc.), particularly values in Lebanon and Canada, and to emphasize the challenges raised by this ‘living-together’ governed by liberal democracy.
