Naji Abou Zeid

Naji Abou Zeid is the CEO of OMT SAL, a leading money transfer and financial solutions provider in Lebanon. In 2008, Naji Abou Zeid graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Finance, before joining City University — The Business School (formerly Cass) in London and graduating in 2009 with a Master’s degree in Management and Entrepreneurship.

End of 2009, Naji Abou Zeid joined OMT as its Retail Director. Founded in 1998, OMT is the leading electronic money transfer and financial solutions provider, and the master Accredited Agent of Western Union Inc. in Lebanon. As the retail director of the company, Abou Zeid oversaw sales and business development and managed the growing Agent network of OMT, which now consists of more than 1,400 locations across Lebanon, in addition to 17 branches/hubs. In 2012, Abou Zeid’s executive role was extended to cover operations, logistics, and IT, which enriched his commercial and managerial experience.

In 2018, Abou Zeid was appointed as the head of the executive committee and was leading OMT’s digital transformation by implementing a business strategy that adapts the current business model to the latest digital trends, both internally and externally. Throughout the years, and in the midst of the financial crisis that kicked in 2019, Abou Zeid and his team designed and developed a variety of financial solutions catered for individuals and businesses and dwelling in the money transfer and payments arena which amortized the impact of the collapse of the banking sector on the Lebanese people and kept the economy moving.

In 2023, Abou Zeid launched “OMT Pay”, the digital arm of OMT, which is a complete digital ecosystem aimed at providing customers with digital payment tools (Wallet/Cards) in addition to a variety of innovative services and products.
