Title: Study of a Hybrid Power Station for Lighting
Duration: 2 years
Partnership: LCEC-UNDP CEDRO
Summary:
The project entitled: “Study of a Hybrid Power Generation Station for Lighting” has a double objective by studying the cost of energy from both sides: production and consumption.
In fact, the project will establish, at first a comparative study between the different types of lighting and different types of lamps used (incandescent, CFL, LED).
This comparison will focus on various types of consumed electric power, lighting efficiency, reactive power and power factor.
In parallel, the study will include the energy potential in the area of Kaslik in terms of solar and wind energy. In this context, the possibilities and the different installation stations producing hybrid (solar and/or wind) energy in the USEK neighborhood will be explored.
