The family circumstances of Mansour Safi Nasr did not allow him to go to school for more than four months and there he learned to spell psalms and some ecclesial prayers. After hard work, he became able to read. He studied every book that was at his fingertips and soon became an educated person. He mastered Arabic calligraphy which he wrote with remarkable beauty. His name is mentioned during the phase in which the zajal became almost integrated into the standard language. He did not publish any book; his zajal poems were published in journals and magazines during the first half of the last century.
