Contribution from Businessman Charles Hanna to USEK Students

Lebanese-American businessman Charles Hanna, a native of the southern Lebanese town of Jezzine, has built an empire in the United States, making the Lebanese “hommos” an international dish.

After donating 50,000 vaccines to the Lebanese army and supporting many families in need, Charles Hanna, believing that Lebanon’s main potential lies among its youth, turned his efforts to the higher education sector as many students are struggling to settle their tuition fees during the most severe economic crisis in Lebanon’s modern history.

The aim of Hanna’s generous contribution is to enable the University to move forward and help its students bear the burden of this crisis which puts their future in jeopardy.

Expressing his attachment to his home country, Hanna stressed the need for the Lebanese diaspora to support their fellow countrymen in these difficult circumstances.

In turn, the University expressed its heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hanna for his initiative and presented him with a trophy as a token of gratitude and appreciation.
