Mission

The Office of the Registrar strives to efficiently connect students to academic units, programs, and classrooms on a continuum of service from enrollment to graduation and beyond. Our dedicated staff captures, preserves, and disseminates information in a timely and ethical manner with respect to legal and confidentiality standards. The office is committed to secure and certify the accuracy of student records and to implement and monitor USEK’s academic policies, while maintaining efficient student systems and providing excellent administrative services to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. 

Vision

The Office of the Registrar aspires to deliver excellent service, enhance the accessibility and security of academic records, and ethically serve the USEK community.
  • Course withdrawal : during the 13th week of the ongoing semester
  • Readmission : during the 9th week of the ongoing semester
  • Change of program : during the 9th week of the ongoing semester
  • Change of campus : during the 9th week of the ongoing semester
  • Double major : during the 9th week of the ongoing semester
  • Academic minor : during the 9th week of the ongoing semester
  • Interruption of studies : before the start of the semester
  • Term withdrawal : until the end of classes (before the start of final exams)
  • Refund : no deadline
Once active, you will receive an email at the beginning of your first semester to collect your student ID card, which is valid for 3 years.

If your student ID card is lost or damaged before the expiry date, you will need to pass by the Office of Registrar and request a new student ID card (fees will apply).

Campus: Building A – Ground Floor
Each student has the right to ask, within the deadlines set on the Academic Calendar, for his course final grade to be re-checked by sending an email to gradereview@usek.edu.lb. The student can ask for the review of two grades, at the most, per semester or Summer Session.

If the request is approved, his grade will be revised on his Banner account. If no changes are applied, the process fees will be automatically charged to his account.
You will receive an email when your official document is ready. You can collect your document in person, or you can authorize a third party to collect your document by emailing us stating the full name of the authorized person.

You can receive any document by:
  • Email as soft copy (document fees should be settled first)
  • LibanPost to any national address (document and shipment fees required)
  • DHL to any international address (document and shipment fees required)
USEK Merit Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and conduct.

  • Merit scholarships are granted to undergraduate and graduate students in the fall and spring semesters.
  • Merit scholarships are calculated at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Qualifying undergraduate and graduate students will be notified by email (sent to their USEK email account).
  • Merit Scholarships apply to first major programs.
  • Merit Scholarships cover full-tuition fees, excluding registration fees and the annual National Social Security Fund (NSSF) membership fees.
  • All Merit Scholarship awardees will have to pay the first payment of their tuition fees. Merit scholarship amounts will be deducted from the remaining tuition fees.
  • Merit Scholarship does not apply to non-credit semesters (remedial courses and Thesis B).
  • Merit Scholarships do not cover majors at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology, teaching diplomas, second majors, minors, continuing education course, and academies (Ecoles).
  • USEK reserves the right to change the Merit Scholarship terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice.


Undergraduate Studies

At the beginning of each semester, the university grants different levels of merit scholarships to students who have completed a minimum of 30 credits at USEK (excluding freshman and remedial courses) with a cumulative GPA  88.00/100 as follows:

Graduate Studies

At the beginning of each semester, the university grants different levels of merit scholarships to students who have completed a minimum of 9 credits at USEK (excluding remedial courses) with a cumulative GPA  90.00/100 as follows:

 90.00 – 90.99  5%
 91.00 – 91.99  10%
 92.00 – 92.99  15%
 93.00 - 94.99  20%
 95.00 - 96.99  30%
 97.00 - 100  40%


Programs not included in the Merit Scholarships list:
  • Graduate programs offered in collaboration with other universities (Master of Business Administration - Human Resources (Panthéon Assas – Paris II, France), Master of Business Administration
  • Management and International Affairs (HEC Montreal), Master of Laws in International & Comparative Law, Master in International Contracts and Master in Business Law).
  • Financially supported graduate programs.

Merit scholarships are forfeited in the following cases:

a. Academic probation
b. Interruption of studies
b. Course(s) Withdrawal (W)
d. Term Withdrawal (WW)
e. Failing a course
f. Part-time enrollment (less than 12 credits per semester for undergraduate studies or less than 6 credits per semester for graduate studies)
g. Enrollment in an exchange program (grade P or R)
h. Upon the decision of the disciplinary council.

USEK makes education affordable
Undergraduate-to-Graduate Merit Award

Based on USEK’s commitment to make education affordable for all, our unique educational experience is defined not only by dedicated and expert faculty, but also by students who are self-motivated, talented and driven to succeed.

In recognition of exceptional academic accomplishments, USEK has established a Merit Award as an investment in our bright young minds and our classroom environment.

This Merit Award is granted automatically to eligible students wishing to pursue a graduate degree under the following conditions:

a. A 25% Scholarship will be granted to the student who ranks first in each program with a GPA of 91.00 and higher.
b. A 10% Scholarship will be granted to the student who ranks second in each program with a of GPA ranging between 88.00 and 90.99.
c. First and second rank scholarships are reserved only for first and second ranked students.
d. This scholarship is valid for one semester only: the semester following the student’s graduation. Recipients who do not apply for a Graduate program in the subsequent semester will forfeit their right for the scholarship.
e. Merit Award recipients who register and complete 9 credits, will follow the rules and regulations for the Graduate Merit scholarships.
f. Graduate programs offered in collaboration with other universities (Master of Business Administration - Human Resources (Panthéon Assas – Paris II, France), Master of Business Administration -Management and International Affairs (HEC Montreal), Paris II, Master of Laws in International & Comparative Law, Master in International Contracts and Master in Business Law) and financially supported graduate programs are not included in the Merit Award list.
